How the Bored Slug website handles information you send us.
Contact form information
If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic, app selection, subject and message you submit. We use this information to read, manage and reply to your enquiry.
Spam protection
The form uses automated anti-spam checks including a hidden bot field, submission timing, rate limiting and content-based spam scoring. If the optional free AI moderation check is enabled, the subject and message text may also be sent to OpenAI for automated safety screening. We intentionally do not include the visitor's name or email address in that request.
Technical anti-abuse data
To limit repeated submissions, the server may temporarily process your IP address and store a one-way hash with recent submission times. This is used only for rate limiting and is automatically irrelevant after the rate-limit window passes.
Messages accepted by the form are delivered to [email protected]. Email correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, maintain support history, or meet legal obligations.
Cookies and analytics
The current Bored Slug website does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting, security or CDN providers may process ordinary connection information required to deliver and protect the site.
App privacy is separate
Each Bored Slug app has its own privacy notice because apps do more interesting things than this website. For Send Some Love, see its app privacy policy.
